Jailbreak!

Hey everybody! Can you believe it's December already? I can't. But then again, I really hate the cold, even if I love the holiday season. Of course, this time last year I was living somewhere that didn't have interior heating, so I'm definitely enjoying this winter much more than the last one!

I guess they just don't make jail cells like they used to. I was pretty happy with how the rust on stuff came out! Oh, and those questions you have? Yeah, like the one you just asked yourself in your head. It'll probably get answered. Don't worry bout that.

One more thing before I go - I just want to say that this past Friday was the last day for City of Heroes, the 8 year old superhero-themed MMORPG put out by Paragon Studios and NCSoft. I can honestly say it's the best MMO I ever played, and I enjoyed my time with that game immensely. While many games admittedly do not last that long, and CoH had become dated in some areas, the way the shutdown was handled was completely appalling. When the announcement that the game was shutting down came out at the end of August/beginning of September, not even many of the studio employees had been told - and suddenly they were out of jobs. There were no indicators that CoH was doing less than perfectly; there was new content on the way and even on the beta server, no server merges, a robust community.

Shame on you, NCSoft. RIP City of Heroes.

Stop being a creeper

Hi everybody! I hope you had a fun and safe Thanksgiving holiday if you're living in America, and a fun and safe not-Thanksgiving if you're not.

On a completely un-comic related note, the pumpkin stuff they put in coffee drinks is sooooo good in chai. It tastes like you're drinking pumpkin pie. It's my new favorite thing, I highly recommend it.

Oh look more comic. WHAT WILL HAPPEN

I need an adult

Oh, choices. This is the sort of situation that stupid teenagers dream about being romantic but actually it just makes you feel gross.

I hope everyone is doing well this week! Personally I'm pretty excited to go and be with family for Thanksgiving, and all of you who are doing the same, please be safe!

These next few comics are going to be pretty dialogue heavy, I'm not gonna lie. But I hope you enjoy them all the same!

Wherein a new character is introduced!

Hey all! Hope you had a good week. It's starting to get colder and that sucks. I hate the cold. I know I'm in the minority on this, but I'd much rather be super overheated in summer than freezing my butt off in winter. Oh well.

I like this mysterious guy. But it's so hard to draw metallic walls without them looking just like "welp! *GRADIENT*" so yeah.

I've got a good buffer going on, since I make myself draw for an hour every day. I spend that hour doing Mariposa stuff, FOR GREAT JUSTICE! But anyway, I'm rambling now so I guess that's all there is to say about that!

It's kind of funny to see how the art in the comic has changed from the beginning until now. I mean, I started the webcomic version of Mariposa Revelation in what, 2000? And it's what now, 2012? That's got to get me some credit for most obscure longest running hiatus-ridden piece of incomprehensible internet literature of the decade.

Anyway, Tsunu seems to have gotten over his temporary bout of bishounen pelvic thrusting. I don't really know what I was thinking about all that seven years ago.

All systems go!

Well, I'm pleased to announce that we are officially back in business.

Welcome back to Mariposa Revelation, everyone. We'll be updating once a week on Tuesdays (Or whenever I can! I'm a busy lady!)

I might make a tumblr or an ask blog or something or what have you eventually, but right now I just want to make sure I can stick with the update schedule.

Thanks very much to all the people who have asked about the comic over the years and have showed me support. I really appreciate it more than you know.

But yeah, keep in touch here every Tuesday!

More housekeeping!

Cool. That's most of the main pages converted into the new style! Now you should be able to run around without seeing the Under Construction page. The only things I really have to work on are tweaking the cast pages for the minor characters, figuring out a format I want for the 'Setting' page, and getting the 'Bestiary' not to look sillier than it must by definition.

Getting down to the line for our move back to the States. Oi, what an undertaking.
